Looking to go triple monitor and have a couple questions

My current system has a 2GB GTX 770 and the ASUS VG236HE 3D monitor. I was considering getting two more monitors. The problem is that I can't find this monitor at Amazon or Newegg (where I usually shop), but I did find this one: VG23AH. Would I be able to use two of those with my current monitor? Or would I need to buy 3 of those and sell my current monitor? The alternative is to just get a 27" with a higher resolution, but that's pretty pricey, and overall less screen real-estate.

My second question is, will my graphics card be able to run a triple monitor system? From benchmarks that I saw online, the 2GB model vs the 4GB model had very little difference in frame rates at higher resolutions.

You can still do triple monitor, it just may not be at max settings in every game. BF4 I believe recommends at least 2GB of VRAM, so games are getting to the point of utilizing greater amounts of VRAM. Tom's should have a performance chart of the 770 at various resolutions, check the charts. Personally, I like having 3 monitors for work, but in the future, I will be replacing my main monitor with a high resolution/high refresh rate monitor and use that for single screen gaming, some games look goofy at 5760x1080p, they don't necessarily program in the cool stuff that I would like it for (I would love to have one screen as the primary HUD and to be able to dedicate my side monitors to certain menus/toolbars). The monitors should be the same resolution but the size is not as much of a concern. I come close to my 2GB vRAM ceiling with my 2 670's running a 5760x1080 in some of the more recent games, I think even Planetside 2 hit almost 2000MB.

Yikes. I just bought this card a week ago and already used up the 3 free games it came with. I guess tri-monitor gaming is out for me for a while, at least until my next upgrade 2 years from now.

Do you think my GFX card is enough to run a 1440p monitor?

Generally it just looks like the normal game stretched out some, especially in games that do not want to provide an advantage to those with more monitors (i.e. in an FPS a wider field of view gives you an advantage over other players who may not have or be able to afford 3 monitors).

A 1440p monitor with my current as a back-up would be nice, but 3 monitors def gives me a lot of space to do work/research. I just realized the other monitor I was looking at isn't 120hz, so I will keep looking. You said the monitor could be different as long as it has the same resolution right?

They don't have to be, but if you want to game on more than one monitor at a time they have to all be the same resolution, so if you had a 720p monitor you would only be able to run at a 720p 3 screen resolution. Same thing with the refresh rate, if you have a 120hz and 2 60hz, I believe the best you can do is 60hz across all 3.
