whats up everyone,

so I already have an msi 7870 ghz edit. and im just wondering whats the best way to go about this?
Improve, or replace?
should i crossfire 2 7870
or should i buy an r9 280x with the hopes of saving up to later replace my 7870 with another r9 280x

or is there just some trick of the trade im missing?

im trying to stick with ATI, but if theres an overwhelmingly better solution that nvidia im all ears.

If you have the money, replacing with a better single gpu is usually the solution IMO. However, crossfire offers great value for the money considering that you already have a 7870. Also, most of the frame time stuttering has been fixed with the latest beta driver from what I've heard. If I were in this situation, I'd be looking at the GTX 770 since the price recently dropped to $330 and it comes with a few games. Overall, if you have $300 lying around, it'd be better to upgrade to the next level and consider the possibilities of even doing crossfire/sli with that card in the future. If you're OK with the extra power consumption over a single card and don't have the money on hand, get another MSI 7870 with the game package (r9 270X only comes with BF4) and enjoy until the 20nm cards.
