HELP! Windows 8 is stuck updating!

Hi

I have Windows 8.1 currently and i clicked "update and restart". After an hour and 15 minutes it is still on installing updates 2 of 8. It says to not turn off my computer. What should i do?! I can't access anything. Not even system restore!

I recently was working on a asus mini laptop with windows 8 on it, put it back to factory set it up for a new user and let it update. It was stuck on 1% forever and finally it finished it's thing after over an hour! I researched it and decided it was another 8 bug. Let it run to see if it finishes. Do you have hard drive activity light? Is it doing anything?

Sorry for the late reply. I just turned my computer off and restarted it, although i was not supposed to, but it worked!
