My computer will not start up but the PSU makes a buzzing sound. I have already tried the paper clip trick and the PSU turned. Im thinking it may be the connector because i cant get the 24 pin in all the way,but it worked fine before.

What kind of hardware are you running off of it? Also, Is it a buzzing, or a higher pitched screeching? Buzzing is caused by transistors which is fine and normal, screeching means one of your caps is blown which means end of life for the unit.

Do you have a card in it?

I do not have any card in it.

Its more of a buzzing sound, but I did the paper clip trick on it and it turned on so would it be the PSU?

If a capacitors on it's way out it'll still turn on, for awhile anyway, if it's buzzing (think of like the sound lights can make) you have nothing to worry about.

If the 24 pin isn't correctly inserted and secure your system might not power up.

I would , because it should plug in and stay secure to the board.
