Hi, whenever I shut down my pc and start it up, I receive a message stating that there is an I/O disk error. To bypass this, I have to put my OS disk in and "reinstall OS". Basically, I just reinput the cd key and restart my pc and it should be good to go. This only happens when I shut down my computer, doesn't happen (except once so far) when i restart or sleep and boot my computer. This started happening after I unplugged small reset sw/ power sw pin thing in an attempt to fix another problem I have (didn't work and now I have this problem on top). Currently running windows 8.1, CD is windows 8. I've never really shut down my PC prior to encountering this problem so I have no idea whether or not it was because of the pin removal. How do i fix this?

I'm sorry, could you be more clear? What did I do with the power on? I didn't do anything with cmos, the pin thing I'm referring to is, in my case since I'm using an msi motherboard, the "m connector".
