Hello all, as the title says. i finished putting my build together and when i go to boot for the 1st time i get no video on tv via hdmi ( no video card yet ) mobo. i went ahead and unplugged the ssd, cd drive sata cables and started working my way down the check list of no video on boot posted here. moved the 1mem ram around all 4 slots, cleared CMOS, updated BIOS to 0804, checked cpu and mobo socket for bent pins, psu cpu and mobo connections, cpu fan, power and reset connections and still getiing the 55 code with dram led on and no video. here are my components:

Intel Core i7-4770K 3.5GHz Quad-Core Processor
Asus Maximus VI Hero ATX LGA1150 Motherboard
Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO 82.9 CFM Sleeve Bearing CPU Cooler
1- Crucial Ballistix 8GB (1 x 8GB) DDR3-1866 Memory BLE8G3D1869DE1TX0
Samsung 840 EVO 120GB 2.5" Solid State Disk
Fractal Design Define R4 w/Window (Titanium Grey) ATX Mid Tower Case
Corsair RM 850W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply
HP CD/DVD 1265i drive

Any help would be appreciated, thank you

DRAM LED suggest that something is wrong with memory.
Reseat it once again in primary socket (A1, next to CPU, red) and make sure it is fully inserted.
After booting, when DRAM LED light is continuously on, press and hold the MemOK button until it starts blinking. The button is located next to power and reset button, in the motherboard corner, near memory sockets.
Maybe this will help. Unfortunately code 55 often means that nothing can be done, except using another memory.

There is also newer BIOS - 0903, however I doubt it will help.

Have you flashed it with 0903 BIOS? If not, try doing it.

Yeah gave it a try, formated usb flash to FAT32, DL BIOS, renamed it M6H.CAP. plugged power cord to Mobo, turned PSU on, Inserted usb flash pressed BIOS flash and let it update and still nothing.. Im beggining to wonder if the memory is compatible with the MOBO.

Yes, it looks like this module is incompatible with your mainboard. B2 code - memory not installed - doesn't sound promising. Unfortunately this is often a case with 8GB modules. Crucial 8GB modules are not on QVL.

Try borrowing a stick of RAM from a friend to verify.
