Hi there people. I wanted to get some suggestions from the community. I currently have the ZALMAN Z12 Mid Tower with a Enermax ETS-T40-BLK. I was wondering if a Corsair H100i would fit my case. If it cannot fit my case, could someone suggest a great upgrade that would fit my case? I'm trying to overclock and the only problem I'm having right now is the temperatures. I don't have a budget, but I don't want to do a manual water cooling setup or buy another case.. If it matters, I also have a MSI GTX 760 Twin Frozer and G.SKILL Ripjaws X series RAM. My current CPU is an Intel i5-4670K. My motherboard is a MSI Z87-GD65 Gaming Series motherboard.

When I was shopping for a CPU cooler, I was reading reviews and one of the first was this one: http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/h100i-elc240-seidon-240m-lq320,3380-14.html
Which showed that the Noctua NH D14 cooler was just as efficient as the H100i at cooling the CPU, it was quieter and cost a lot less!

More searching found this: http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/LGA-2011-i7-3960X-Air-Overclocking,3130.html
Again the Noctua NH D14 came out on top.

So is Tom's biased? How about AnandTech: http://www.anandtech.com/show/6830/cpu-air-cooler-roundup-six-coolers-from-noctua-silverstone-and-cooler-master

Based on the above info, I decided to get the Noctua NH D14 SE 2011. The SE 2011 is a little different from the base model NH...

Based on the above info, I decided to get the Noctua NH D14 SE 2011. The SE 2011 is a little different from the base model NH D14. It is designed for a socket LGA 2011 and requires a $10 kit to mount to LGA 1150 boards, but the big attraction to me was that the SE 2011 comes with 4 pin PWM fans so that my MB can control fan speed. 90% of the time while I am just web surfing and doing basic stuff the fans are at idle and are virtually silent. Even when the CPU ramps up to 100% load, the PWM fans are still very quiet.

You need to consider whether the cooler and you memory can co-exist together. According to this list, you memory should have no clearance issues: http://www.noctua.at/main.php?show=compatibility_ram_gen&products_id=34&lng=en#DDR3_G.Skill

Last, but not least, the NH D14 will fit your case because the case is 215 mm wide and the NH D14 is only 160mm tall. http://www.zalman.com/global/product/Product_Read.php?Idx=778

Good luck and happy shopping!

Not really. My only recent experience is with the stock Intel cooler and the NH D14. For alternatives, I would recommend consulting the reviews that I linked to above.
