Can a bad RAM card cause my computer to constantly restart or freeze over and over?

So I recently built my new computer and I've had the issue where my computer will constantly restart by itself (cold reboot) or sometimes simply freeze my computer. I've already tested my PSU and that's not the issue. The issue isn't with the temperature either and there's nothing wrong with the CPU or hard drive. I've tested the software (and also reinstalled windows 7 from a different ISO to make sure there wasn't an issue with the software) and my computer still had this issue; however, once I took out one of my RAM cards (I tested both and it seems like a specific one is causing the issue), my computer no longer restarts or freezes.

Usually, my computer would take 10-30 minutes to restart or freeze, but I've now been running my computer for an hour and a half and it hasn't crashed now that I've taken out this RAM card.

Just to make sure this is the issue, I want to you ask you all: could the RAM card be the issue to this problem? Thanks!

Solution
Yes it can. Won't go into detail but a bad RAM pin can have some rather weird effects on your PC. Most common is BSOD's. Sometimes windows won't even boot etc.

As long as your problem is concerned I suggest diagnosing the problem with the help of System File Checker, Windows Memory Diagnostic and System Restore. You just follow the steps given below and check if the problem still persists. Download hotfix if the problem still persists.

Uninstall Recently Installed Software:
1. Click Start | Control Panel.
2. Click Programs | Uninstall a Program.
3. Select a recently installed software program, click Uninstall button.
4. Follow the on-screen wizard.

Clean Boot:
1. Click Start, select All Programs | Accessories | Run.
2. Type “MSCONFIG” (without quotes).
3. Click OK button.
4. Under General tab uncheck “Load startup items” checkbox.
5. Click Apply | OK.
6. Reboot your machine.

It would seem this is the issue. I have been having freezing issues, I felt inside the frame and felt heat and assumed my motherboard was overheating, with closer inspection it would seem it was actually the ram stick.

1. You stuck your hand inside your pc while it was on?!? Dumb idea could ruin components easily
2. You realize pc parts can easily be 30°C-80°C of course you will feel heat inside your case lol
