Hi Guys ,
just wanted to ask your opinions on conundrum.
a little over two years ago I did build my first pc:

Intel i7-2600k (Corsair Hydro P60 Cooler)
Zotac GF GTX 580 AMP (the 1536MB GDDR5 version)
Gigabyte GA-Z68X-UD5 Mainboard
Corsair Vengeance 16GB Ram
1 TB Harddrive (7200rpm)
750W power supply
CoolerMaster HAF912 Plus Case

Now, with the impending release of a new games generation, I'm thinking about upgrading the GPU to Zotac GF GTX 770 AMP 4GB or if you have a better option in that rough price range I'm all Ears ^^
I also might depending on what kind of sales are going on around christmas buy an 256gb ssd.

But I am kind of afraid that the CPU is going to act as a bottleneck. What are your general thoughts?

More about : upgrade gpu

I don't know what CPU you'd replace that with to eliminate a bottleneck, it's still pretty much the best one there is. Overclock it.

Hi cuecuemore,
thx for your reply. I spend the last couple of days infront of the computer trying to overclock the cpu. I think I am not skilled enough. I can get it stable at 4.4 Ghz. You think that should be enough?

Going from 3.4 to 4.4 on a 2600k will get you to a minimum of 60 fps in most modern games. And it will really only get better with all the next-gen stuff coming out. It certainly makes it a great match for a 770, or really any GPU(s) you want to throw at it.
