Wireless router configuration

Hi,
I have a 3-storey house in which there are 3 separate internet connections on each floor each with its own modem, routers and repeaters. I wanted to know if I could discontinue two of those connections (keep only one broadband connection with one modem and one router) and use the other routers as repeaters and establish a single Wifi network across the 3 floors so that the network can be accessed anywhere in the building. I think the signals from each floor interfere leading to loss in bandwidth for users on each floor. Is this true?
How can I solve this problem? I am ready to buy more repeaters or routers if required.

Regards,
Rishikesh

Yes, and you don't need to buy anything. Use one as the main router that has Internet.

Simply connect the other two ("AP routers") to the main router with an Ethernet cable LAN to LAN connection. Turn off DHCP in the AP routers, use the same SSID, security type, and passkey on each. Use a different wireless radio channel on each unit selecting from channels 1,6, and 11.

Give the two AP routers a static IP address in the AP and enter that also in main router static table (which also will need you to enter the MAC address of the corresponding AP unit) -- use values outside the main router DHCP range but still in the network range. So for example if the main router is 192.168.0.1, make the APs 0.2 and 0.3, then start the main router DHCP service at .04.

You will have a very good signal on every floor and no interference between the radios.
