this is my rig:
asrock x79 extreme 4 main board.
GTX 690 SLI ( quad core )
16gb ram 2133
1000w golden power
xspc raystorm 750 ( water cooler )

now which cpu i must choose? 4690x or 3970x?

Solution
4960X. It is clocked 100MHz higher, it is on the new Ivy Bridge-E architecture (meaning around 5% increase performance per MHz compared to I7 3970X). The 4960 uses 20W less, meaning a bit less heat and easier to cool down and allow higher OC. Unless you get a bargain a big discount on the 3970X then it is a better option. The 4960X should be around 5-7% faster while using 20W less power.

The 4930k will offer 90-95% of the performance of the 4960x for 50-60% of the price.

There is no doubt that the 4960x is the fastest of the three at stock speeds.

I can't see paying an extra $400-500 for the 200mhz(100mhz turbo) that the 4960x offers over the 4930k though.

The 4770k will edge all of them out in single threaded performance.
