Hey guys, I'm trying to build my budget gaming pc, some what future proof so buying intel core i3 4130 3.4Ghz 3mb cache (socket 1150)
Probably buying radeon 7770 or 7850.

Looking for a good value, somewhat cheap mobo. Help? Thanks.

I chose these three cause I think they're really good budget Z87 motherboards from MSI and ASRock, and you can choose whichever one depending on what kind of specs you need.

***It's kind of hard to 'future proof' a motherboard. I believe the 1150 (or Z87s) will have 1 more cycle for next year 2014 with the Broadwell chips. So expect a new socket in 2015 is what I would say.

And if you have the a little more to spend, then check out the i5s! But the one you have selected is fine, and so are the 7850, 7770, or the 7870!

1) ASRock Z87 Extreme3 LGA 1150 @ $114.99 >>> http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813157372
2) MSI Z87-G43 LGA 1150 @...

I think ASRock is generally a pretty good budget motherboard maker. This might be an option for you: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813157372

I have the Extreme 4 version of this board. My only complaint was that initially it would freeze often in the BIOS. Never once Windows was booted - only in the BIOS. A firmware update fixed this issue.

ASUS is another good brand to check out. They may be a slightly more expensive for similar specs.

What about overclocking, will a cheaper board support it, and whats the difference between a z77 or h77

I was just about to ask you about overclocking. So, are you overclocking?

Yes = Z87 boards
No = H87, B85 boards

If you have a 1150 socket chip, then you can't use the Z77s because they won't support your chip - the older generation boards (Z77) uses a 1155 socket.

Z87 = Gaming for overclockers
H87, B85 = Not for overclocking. I would suggest the H87 boards over the B85s.

EDIT: CHECK out Amazon UK if they ship to Ireland.
