Out of curiosity, I was wondering if it was possible to sli a GTX 760 2 gb and 4 gb cards from two different manufacturers with different core clock speeds? Would I have to underclock the 4 gb card? I'm a bit new to Nvidia cards and haven't actually experimented with them yet, as the GTX 760 is the first Nvidia card I've ever owned. Thanks

The card I currently own is a PNY Enthusiasts edition GTX 760 with 2 GB of VRam
Core clock: 980 mhz

The one I want to get is a Evga FTW GTX 760 4 gb
Coreclock:1085 mhz

Solution
No, it will only recognize 2GB period, vRAM is not shared between cards as the information has to be duplicated across the cards. So you would be wasting 2GB and only have access to 2GB.

So are you saying that it won't be practical to get 6 gb; as both of the cards will recognize it as only 4 gb? And the extra 2gb will be useless? Thanks.

I would say it is not possible because of Nvidia's drive. I'm using 331.82 in Win7x64. I bought 3 EVGA GTX 670 FTW cards. The last one I bought was a 4GB version, although everything else spec-wise between the cards was the same. Since SLI only utilizes the frame buffer the first card, I wanted to use the 4GB FTW for this. But I found even in 2-way SLI configs the driver would not provide the option for the 4GB and 2GB FTW cards to enable SLI, however, my two 2GB FTW's worked in SLI just fine. Since 4GB EVGA GTX 670's are now near impossible (and expensive) to find for sale or auction I figured that I will stick with just the 2GB versions and sell the 4GB card.
