My current PC is an HP Pavilion a6400f. It's a load of junk and I need to upgrade it. I am going to replace everything except the case and the two HDD(one 200 GB, one 100 GB) . My budget is about 300 dollars(350 if I push it). Here is what I came up with.

AMD fx-6300 $120
Sapphire Radeon HD 7770 $80(after a mail in rebate)
Asus M5A78L-M LX3 $55
G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 8GB $77
CORSAIR CX series CX430 $25 after a mail in rebate

Is this a good build for 1360x768 gaming? I am worried that the parts wont fit in the case, and the case ventilation. Links for everything are below.

if i were you, I'd get some cheaper ram (but still 8gb), and spend the money on a 7790, or an r7 260x

The amount of money i would save buying different RAM would be minimal, perhaps 10 dollars. No where near the 60 dollars I would need for a r7 260x .

I mean really cheap ram. don't waste money on needless heatsinks if you're on a tight budget (unless you want to overclock)

I would say, save your money now, and then get better components when you can. If you can wait till you can spend like $650 instead of $350, you will be looking at upgrading your computer in 2-3 years vs 1 year. That is if you are going to be gaming, just my personal recommendation from experience.

Don't get me wrong, it will be decent, but you are building for current (which I don't think you would be able to run BF4 on high).

The 430w PSU is very low, and if you ever wanted to upgrade the computer again, you would need to upgrade that(basically throwing away $45) .

Again these are just my opinions, do what you want, and what you think will fit your needs.

This PC build is meant to be very upgradeable. I picked a Socket am3+ cpu instead of FM2 because am3+ has many more powerful options. I will change the PSU to this one http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168... for the higher wattage,so down the line I can use more powerful components.

But still, will these components fit in my case, and will the ventilation be sufficient?

The motherboard form factors are the same, but the dimensions of them are different (current 9.6 x 9.6). Most of the microATX boards I have looked at currently are (7.4 x 9.6). I don't know if this makes a difference, you probably want to look more into that. As for the ventilation, it is poor at best, I would guess the only fans are the CPU fan, a rear fan, and the fan on the PSU. You could probably pick up a new case for like $30 or $40. Hope this helps.
