Looking to build a gaming computer from scratch. Budget is flexible but not to exceed $2300 including monitor, mouse, keyboard, WIN8, etc. I have 3 main questions:

1) Computer will be mostly used for MMORPGs and strategy games; however it might be used for FPS but ultrahigh quality there is not an absolute must. One monitor is to be used only. Am I better off keeping budget way lower and saving some cash, or should I push to the upper budget boundaries? I do not want to have to upgrade my pc in the next 1-2 years much.

2) What build would you recommend given the above mentioned?

3) I do not want to wait much - ideally I would order over the weekend. Am I fine just getting all the stuff from Amazon or should I try to pick from different vendors? Again, I do not want to wait for 2 weeks before all components arrive.

Thank you very much! Pretty excited to try and build my first-ever homemade computer - quite funny given I am 30+, haha.

+1, a $2300 build would last at least 4+ years!

+1 to that build.

Honestly with a 2300.00 budget you won't be turning down settings for a good while.

Guys,

I will go with a cheaper monitor for now. However, couple questions:

1. What case should I get?
2. The suggested build has no cooling - shouldn't it have one? Is the CPU suitable for overclocking?

Thanks!
