Hello!

I often see sites that show my facebook name under the comments section i.e.
post a comment (logged in as John Nash).

My question is even if I don't post a comment, does a website have any way to tell what Facebook ID is associated with my IP?

Thanks

Thats not a behavior of a website but that in simple language that site has facebook comment box integrated into their code so if you you are logged in & surfing sites or blogs than you will see the above thing.

if you are worried of being hacked than be free as the site it just like blind about your account info & about the name shown as logged in is shown by FB not the site itself.

Any site with a FB like, FB know you visited it same with any integrated comment box. all sites log ip addresses that visited, i'm not sure if they can read the cookie to get the name from FB.

look at a browser plugin called ghostery, It's blocking 9 things on this site.
