Hi, have been fixing an Advent d2204 which was badly infected by an email attachment virus.
After re-installing windows, scanning with malware bytes and updating all drivers windows still doesn't recognise the previously working Ethernet port. Device manager has it listed but nothing happens when it's connected to a network.
There are no other software issues or hardware issues remaining. Does anyone know if this is the board or the physical port or what? And would using a USB to Ethernet adapter get around this problem quickly?
