So I had tried to ask this before, but didn't get any responses so I thought I would try one more time; I am looking to buy myself a computer this december within the price range of 800 to 900 dollars, and I will mostly be using it for gaming and streaming. I was wondering what parts would be the best to pick up for the price range I have? Thanks in advance for any help to this complete computer building beginner.

I plan on playing games like World of Warcraft, League of Legends, and alot of older games on GoG, so nothing to graphically taxing, but my hope is that I will be able to run these games on top or close to top settings. As for a monitor, I should have stated that it is a part of the budget that I forgot to include, and I do not know the first thing about choosing a monitor.

Sorry, I am not really interested in buying used pieces, I just am looking for a good idea as to what will get the best bang for my buck so I don't have to buy a prebuilt

Well in that case you can stick to the i5 level of CPU's, They get great reviews from OC'ers and gamers. if you use pcpartpicker.com it will help point you in the right direction and it even finds the best prices for you. as far as a graphics cards the gtx x60 ti cards have a great value when it comes to gaming. and they are fairly inexpensive

Thanks for the response; I forgot to include that I already have an OS, but I do need monitor, so that might just be right in my budget!

That actually seems like a solid build, and is perfect for my price range. I am gonna go talk to my friend who is a self built PC guy and see what he thinks, but thanks alot for helping me out. I can't wait to find out more about building and setting up my PC
