Hi there,

I have GA-P35-DS3 rev1.0 and want to purchase XFX GeForce GTX 285 1GB 512-bit GDDR3.

Is there any compatibility issues between these two keeping in mind that the motherboard is PCIe 1.1 and graphic card PCIe 2.0 ?

I read on the forum that there are some issues with graphic card PCIe 2.1 on motherboard PCIe 1.0.

Thx in advance

It will work as your motherboard has PCI express x16 slot. PCI 3.0 slots are backward compatible with 2.0 as well as 1.0, and forward compatible vice versa, i have HD 7770 (3.0 card) on my P5KPL-AM (1.1). But, some (not all) 2.1 cards have problems with 1.x slots.

thx a lot. I should consider buying a PICe 2.0 graphic card since there are no backward compatibility issues with PCIe 1.1
keep up the good work ;)
