I'm looking to build a system using two 780 Ti cards in SLI. I'm wondering if I should choose only motherboards with PCIe 3.0 configurations that can run the two cards both at x16, or is this an unnecessary consideration for current generation graphics cards? In short - can 780 Ti cards max out the bandwidth in PCIe 3.0 slots running at x8?
Thanks for any help in advance!

well, considering there is no performance drop off for pci-e 2.0 x8 with those cards... i think you're good with pci-e 3.0 x8 (which is equivalent to pci-e 2.0 x16)
Thanks for your quick response! That makes things a lot easier. Thanks for your help.
