I'm not sure what is wrong with my computer. I have two monitors and sometimes my mouse freezes for a few second, then when I move my mouse to the second monitor, it doesn't visibly cross over and stays on the original monitor but I can still try to click things on my second monitor.

After this happens, the mouse won't change states, either. When I hover over a link it doesn't change ect. Also when I need to provide permission to a program and the screen dims, it just turns black and I need to restart my computer.

Windows 7 64 bit
i7 3770K 3.5 GHz Ivy Bridge
12GB DDR3 RAM
Asus P8B75-V
EVGA GeForce GTX 560 Ti 1Gb
2 Acer S231HL Monitors

Thanks!

This sounds like a problem with windows, you can try to format your computer and reinstall you Windows 7. Is there anything else bugging up on your computer? More information will help figure out the problem. But if it's only the cursor it does indeed sound like your OS didn't install correctly or became corrupted somehow.

I would also try plugging the monitors into a different Computer, just because you said you could still do things on the second monitor even though the mouse wasn't showing up. And also do you have both monitors plugged into your GPU? I am asking because it is only 1 GB and that can cause some bugs too.

I would need more information to help you but at least try plugging your monitors into another computer if you don't want to format your PC.

On startup, if I didn't get audio playing relatively quickly, my computer would freeze and I'd have to restart. I recently got an SSD, though, and haven't had that problem since (I had this current problem before the SSD).

Both my monitors are plugged into DVI ports on my GPU. I could try plugging them into a different computer, but I'll probably end up reformatting when I'm able to get my installation disc back.

I have an older PC, the no audio on start up is just a slow PC.
If you got the SSD and it started working then it is most likely file corruption. I Have yet to build a PC but I have been researching for about 7 months untill I get the money I need (Lack of Job) I don't know if you can plug your first monitor into your MB and the second into your GPU and they still work together but if you can I would try that. You might not have to reformat your PC unless you want too but if you do then go for it. it will clean your PC and fix most the bugs that your have.

I do not see why 1GB VRAM would be a problem for dual-display. The frame buffer even for dual 4k HDR monitors would only require 48MB. I have been running dual monitors off a single GPU since my 64MB Radeon 8500LE 10-12 years ago and I do not remember ever having any problems doing so. Before that, I used to have a pair of Rage/Rage128 cards and that worked relatively well too except that DirectX would only allow 3D output on the primary display.
