Can I use old power cable with new PSU?

I ordered a new computer which will have the 1050W corsair Professional series 80 plus silver PSU. I will be hooking it up to my living room entertainament center which is very hard to move (heavy). I have the time to move it this weekend for hook up, but the PC doesnt arrive until later next week. I plan on running all of the cables now so that when the PC arrives I can simply plug and play. My only concern is the power cable from the PC to my surge protector, can I use an older cable such as one from an old monitor that I still have? Would there be anything unique about the power cables supplied with the PSU? It is a standard United States power outlet (120V).

Thanks in advance.
