I have an Asus H87M-Pro with an Intel i5 4440 CPU. Everything works fine until I upgrade to the Intel Driver supplied with the MOBO. After that Windows will boot then go to a black screen and cannot detect the monitor on the DVI port. I can load windows in Safe Mode. There are post's all over the net, but I can't find a definitive solution.
I have updated to the latest BIOS and even tried the Intel download centre but it said it was down.

What driver? For the integrated GPU (Intel HD 3000/4000 etc.)? If you have a dedicated graphics card you don't need it and it may be trying to use the integrated graphics over the dedicated graphics, which would explain the black screen and inability to sense the DVI output from your dedicated graphics card to the monitor.

I don't have a graphics card. I am using the onboard Intel HD 4600 Graphics. It has both a DVI and a VGA port on the back.

I have been through all the BIOS settings I can think of, but when the systems boots up, both screens work, right up to Windows.
The initial Windows screen starts with the four colours, but when it goes to boot to the desktop, the LCD connected via the DVI cable disappears. When I go into screen resolution, it has only detected the screen connected via the VGA cable.
