Just bought, 2 gtx 470, but currently been trying to install at least one.

I turn my comp on with one , the screen is just black, (tried with each separately) same thing.. Uninstalled my previous video card driver, and nothing changes. But if I put my previous back in, everything works.
My friend said they worked just fine..
Any ideas what I can do??

What I have:

Asus M5A99X Evo R1 Mobo

AMD phenom(tm) ll x2 duel core 560 Processor

8Gb DDR3 Corsair Vengeance ram

In a Antec Nine Hundred Black Steel ATX Mid Tower

Ocz fatal1ty 750w.

Interesting combination. I would invest in a little bit better CPU before trying to go SLI and the 400/500 series are notorious power hogs, 750W shoud be enough though.

Presumably you are supplying power to the video cards and using the PCIe 16 slots for both cards. I would check the BIOS for display output type and set it to load PCIe first.

When in doubt update to the latest BIOS and/or report the problem to ASUS.

That's the thing I'm at least trying to run one gtx, and I can't. Sweeped the vid drives and changed bois to pci instead. Still the same thing with each card .. But only my older ATI Radeon HD 3850 works
