I recently bought a used corsair tx750 v2 but the fan had an issue where no matter what, it was always on 100% even right after boot up and I did not want to pay $40 to ship it out for an RMA, so I rerouted the PSU fan connector to my motherboard and connected it on a fan header. The only issue I have now is I don't know what speed to put the PSU fan at. its connected to the same header as my front case fan so it follows the same speed and as of right now it is off until the motherboard reaches 40 degrees then it gradually goes up as the temp increases. So my only question is what speed should I set the fan at in relation to my mobo temp. (mobo only gets hot when I play games and such so I imagine the PSU would heat up at the same rate.)

No good answer for this. The PSU fan is controlled by internal heat sensors in the PSU. It does not equate to MB or CPU heat directly. What you have done is put the PSU at risk. The PSU temp. is not just a factor of the system load on it. Ambient temperature as well as case air temp. are major considerations. I suggest you reverse your jury rigging and send the PSU for replacement. There may be other issues you are not aware of.
