Hi Everyone,

It has been long time that i have been posting here, just got back with a query to all the experts :)

I have a GTX 680 card and was wondering what would be the best option for me to go for an update?

I was thinking to go for another GTX 680 (would get it for like 300-350) and SLI them.

Batman Arkham City made my single 680 cry on DX11 bottle necking 30fps. I tried with DX9 then 60fps max and min lol
I read that Batman AC is badly coded of DX11 or something but most people were getting pretty good fps with SLIs.

Thanks for your replies

Thanks for your reply. I can find some used 680s for $350

What power supply do you have? What motherboard do you have?

If you have a good 750w power supply and motherboard that has two x8(or higher) pcie16 lanes then adding another 680 would be your best option as it will still be much faster than anything out there including a 690/7990 or the next gen 780ti/290x.

But if your power supply is really old or is 650w or below your not going to be able to supply the power needed for your total system. bone stock sli 680's will pull about 390w alone and overclocked can definitely push 500w which leaves very little headroom for the rest of your system. Also if you have a motherboard that only runs the second pcie16x lane at 4x when doubled up then it may not be the best option to run a second card in that slot as you will create a bottlneck.
