I'm wondering if my build is capable of running games like Planetside 2 and BF4 on ultra with good fps.

If you guys have any suggestions to change a part feel free to tell me.

Thank you.

That Computer you have there is quite nice, but it is outdated.
I would recommend Switching to a Z87 Motherboard with an i5-4570K and an AMD R9-280X. The Rest of your build is fine.

seems good to me. Only reason I changed from GTX680 to (2) HD7950 is because they said 3GB is needed for BF4, which it isn't unless you go above 1080p. That said, I guess probably future games will need >2GB. If it's available, they'll use it and I'm sure 3-4GB Vram will become the norm next year. A single 770 will probably run out of horse power before it needs >2GB.
CPU is fine, I think the 4th Gen I5 and Z87 still cost a bit more, for only a small gain in performance and less o/c potential anyway. There are no additional features AFAIK. So either is ok.

I made some changes to your build, to cut prices, but still offer same performance.

+ i5 4670k is better than the 3570k, no doubt
+ A Z87 board to house the 4670k.
+ Replaced the 770 with much cheaper but similarly powerful and better 7970.
+ Replaced Corsair Vengance RAM with Crucial Ballastix Sport RAM, similarly powerful.
+ Replaced WD Caviar Blue with a little faster Seagate Barracuda.

Note : The 280x is just a rebranded 7970, so it performs about the same as the 280x. But it is cheaper right now.

I hope this helps. The 280x/7970 has the advantage over the Nvidia 770 as it is cheaper, has more VRAM, has wider bandwidth bus, you can choose 3 games from 8 games of your choice. Hence I would suggest the 280x/7970 more than the Nvidia 770.

Also you can wait for the R9-290 with custom coolers to launch and then buy one of them.

The R9-290 is more powerful than anything in that budget. It kills both the 770 and the 780 and costs less than the 780.

When does the R9-290 come out? And also is the motherboard you mentioned good?

R9-290 has already came out, but only the ones with reference coolers are out now. I would suggest waiting for the custom cooling solutions from Asus, Gigabyte, MSI, EVGA, XFX, etc. That would perform better under load, no throttling at all.

As for the board, yeah, the board is fine. Nothing wrong with it. Offers most features anyone would need and offers good overclocking performance too.
