This is the part of the build I already chose:
MOBO: M5A99X PRO R2.0
PSU: corsair cx600
RAM: Kingston hyperx 8gb
case: NZXT source 210 elite white
GPU: either gtx 660, 760, or r9 270x

and I will be playing games such as sc2, lol, bf4, and some more graphic consuming games.

Is it better to get an fx6300 with a cooler to overclock it, or is it better to get the fx 8320 alone?

Amd fx 8320 is much better than fx 6300 You should not buy fx 6300 unless you are on a really tight budget. If your MOBO is capable for overclocking for fx 8320, then you will get performance near to an fx 8350. And you will notice the best difference while playig 8 threaded games like BF4 and crysis 3. So surely, fx 8320 is the way to go. Even if you overclock, fx 6300 it will give you prformance near to fx 8150 (When used all cores). So fx 8320 is the best option here.

The 6300 will do just fine for gaming. The 8320 (with the extra two cores) is better for people who do a lot of rendering, like myself. If you do any video editing or anything like that go ahead and get the 8320. If you're just gaming, the 6300 will be great.

If I were you, I would get the 6300 and spend that extra cash on a better GPU.

Then will this build be able to play these games 60+ fps maxed out settings on 1600x900?

There's only $40 difference between fx 6300 and fx 8350, I recommended him fx 6300, And I recommended him fx 8320 only if his budget will be enough to buy it. And clearly, If you are gaming and you play games like BF4 and crysis 3, The fx 8320 will give you much better performance than fx 6300. And also in the upcoming games there will be quite a good difference between fx 6300 and fx 8320. So don't think that just two extra cores won't affect much in games. That's tottaly a wrong thinking.

Alright then, if I switch the fx 6300 with 8320 and m5a99x pro with m5a97 r2.0, will it be fine???

Yes that rig is really stron enough to handle games at max settings.
Here, this rig will perform much better in upcoming games : http://pcpartpicker.com/parts/partlist/
with this ram : http://www.amazon.com/Corsair-Vengeance-PC3-12800-1600mHz-CMZ8GX3M2A1600C9B/dp/B004QBUL1C/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1384003249&sr=8-3&keywords=8+gb+ram

The 8320 will work just fine on a M5A97 R2.0, I'm actually running those two right now (with the 8320 overclocked to 4.0GHz).

Yes, that's the way to go, you were spnding much on motherboard and quite less on cpu. fx 8320 and n5a97 r 2.0 will give you 15-25 more FPS in 8 threaded games, but thats just cpu difference I am talking about, speaking of your GPU you should get gtx 760 if that is in your budget, if not, r9 270x is not a bad option as gtx 760 is only slightly better than r9 270x.
