my config is as follows:-
FX 6300
Asus m5a97 r2.0
500w platinum series smps
8 gb kingstopn ram at 1600 mhz
Asus HD 6670 ddr5 1 gb

so can it be paired with another ATI card? which one would be better? i want performance close to the levels of 650 ti boost and i play at 1300x900 res.

Your motherboard can crossfire hd 6670, but note that 500W is the minimum psu requirement for crossfire hd 6670, which you have. But hd 6670 won't give you enough performance which you expect. I think you should sell you current hd 6670, and buy atleast an hd 7770 or 7790. Not that it's a bad Idea to crossfire hd 6670. But you will be most likely getting only 70% extra performance boost, and only on the games which support CF. So think of what I said. But CFing hd 6670 is also not a bad Idea, but upgrading to a single but stronger hd 7770 or 7790 is a better Idea.
