So I have just unboxed and installed my new GTX 660TI - 3GB version to replace my GTX 555.
When starting up battlefield 4, on low settings, AT FIRST it gets great frames of 100+, to be expected on low GFX settings. But after time passes the frame rate trickles down and eventually settles at 30-40 FPS. The fans are roaring while I'm playing as well.

Afterburner reveals temperature of the card is 70 C, GPU usage is at 100%, and power goes to 80% at most.
And no I have not fiddled with the settings in afterburner, just installed to check the usage.

Specs: Windows 7 64 bit
i7 3770 @ 3.4 GHz
GTX 660TI
8 GB RAM

Yes I did. And of course installed the drivers from Nvidia after.

The PSU is a 330 watt adapter. But the 660 TI is listed as having the same power consumption as my old card @ 150 watts.

Could not having enough power result in a lower framerate? I didn't think this would be an issue.

You can't raise the power limit of your psu you might be able to under clock your graphics card but I don't see what good that would do I just recommend you get a new psu. Your computer will thank you. The ones I linked are good quality ones.

The reason why your old card was working better is because it had enough power for both cpu and gpu now with the new one they don't have enough power for either making them both being bottlnecked by the psu

Alright, seems like you're right. Going to need a recommendation for a new case as well because my current PSU is just an adapter and the case has no space for an actual PSU.
