I bought a gtx 560 ti from my uncle but my psu wont work so I haven't tested it yet. It hasn't been in a static bag since he took it out. How long does it have to live and is it worth it?

More about : gtx 560 good buy

As long as it works, the 560 Ti is actually a steal man.

It is great for $40, it can run most games on a high-max setting. Should be paired with a good cpu however. It would depend on when he bought it for when it will give out, and the brand of card.

Okay but if it hasn't been effected at all from not being in a static bag than it will work as if it was in one?

It's the Sparke gtx 560 ti 1gb it isn't one of the fancy purple ones. He got two in sli in his build years ago and his os doesn't suppourt old card sli. Is a EVGA 600b enough and a good quality psu?

The static bag protects it as long as its not out of the bad and being handled it can last years and years no worries its fine.

It was just sitting in his closet piling dust on top of it.

Just curious lol why did you go with an APU and a dedicated graphics card?

It could last years if it's unopened. It will most likely be near obsolete before it dies

How long has it been used for? Either way it's a great gpu and is great for that price

Great for that price, I still use a 560 Ti. Basically similar performance to a 650 Ti boost for much less money.
