I'm planning to buy a graphics card soon; the AMD Radeon HD 7790. I'm running Win7 and Ubuntu 12.04 side by side. In case I install the graphics card, will Ubuntu really recognise the card? Do we get AMD drivers for Ubuntu? Please help me guys! I require my Ubuntu for my study related stuff and Win7 for gaming purpose.
PS: I have the Gigabyte 78LMT mobo.

It should run just fine. I use an hd 6850 atm. the issue I have right now is the catalyst 13.9 driver was taken off amd's sight so I am using beta 13.11. I read somewhere that the 13.9 Linux driver was based off a faulty beta and should not have been released yet. the latest stable driver is 13.4 released back in april or may. you may want to consider a gtx 650ti boost, I think they are around the same price and perform closer to an hd 7850.
