So as you guys know next gen consoles are upon us ps4 released today i am not a fan of console gaming so here are my questions

1.) How well will my PC handle the next gen games and till how many years ( i play at 1600xx900 mostly)

2.) And is my PC on par with the next gen ps4 or xbox is it on par or above or below?

My PC:

FX 8120 3.1 GHZ
Gigabyte 970a motherboard
Gtx Forsa 660 TI
8Gb RAM

Solution
PS4: CPU: 8 Core Single Chip x86 AMD Jaguar, GPU: AMD Radeon Graphic Core Next Engine, 1152 Shaders, 8GB Ram, 500 GB hard drive (removable), Blu Ray/DVD player
Xbox One: CPU: 8 Core Microsoft custom chip, GPU: 853 MHz AMD Radeon GPU 768 Shaders, 8 GB Ram, 500 GB Hard Drive with additional external storage via USB, Blu Ray/DVD player

The GeForce GTX 660 Ti makes use of a 28 nm design. nVidia has set the core speed at 915 MHz. The GDDR5 RAM works at a speed of 1500 MHz on this specific card. It features 1344 SPUs as well as 112 TAUs and 24 Rasterization Operator Units.

So i would say the GPU is better than PS4 so you are fine.

Check this for the BF4 which is probably one of the newest games out there.

But i think that if you want max settings you need better GPU probably. I would say if you are using this build for gaming, then find cheaper CPU and maybe you can invest the money for better GPU. check FX 6300 CPU - it has 6 cores, but thats more than enough for gaming.

If you already have this build. Then it should do pretty well right now on games like Starcraft II or Dota 2. On more graphics intensive games like BF4, it will still do decently well - giving you close to 50 FPS on Ultra (no AA) >>> http://www.bf4blog.com/battlefield-4-retail-gpu-cpu-benchmarks/

Futureproof, sure. But we don't know what games you'll play. You can definitely play High or Ultra (reducing specs here and there).
