Well i have seen boat loads of people grabbing up the i5's but i have also seen alot of the 4770k cpu's in peoples systems these days. I would just shop newegg and narrow your search results to a price point you are trying to stay in with a cpu and search and read closely at reviews. I myself am running a i5-2500k at 4.2ghz and im satisfied completely so i couldnt give you to much info on the i7's.
