I'm looking to get new HDD and I am looking for some opinion.
Seagate or Western Digital? etc?
What are the difference between those colors that they have? (Red/black/blue/green etc.)
I am looking for either 2x 1TB or 1x 2TB.
7200rpm (or higher if any) and 64mb cache (or higher if any) SATA3.
Also, price must be reasonable. Probably like 70-90$ for 1TB~?
Purpose is going to be just a regular data storage. (Photoshop/Vegas Pro files/movies etc)
Any recommendations?

Thank you!

If you look at the WD article I sent, the green drives are not designed for raid. This doesn't mean they won't work in raid, but just something to think about.

Also since you are thinking about raid 0, you need to also think about backups. If you lose one of the drives, you will lose ALL of your data on both drives. Get an external drive, and just backup your data every week. If the data is really important, consider 2 external drives, and keep one off-site.

Alright, so lets say that I'll leave the raid idea out of the picture, which would be optimal?
I'm thinking about the one that I linked and this one Seagate Barracuda ST2000DM001 2TB 7200 RPM 64MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive Bare Drive
Any opinion on both or these?
Good price and reliable?
Thanks
