well, from where to increse the fan speed ?? can u guide me .

Sounds like a reference cooled 760 to me, install Afterburner and set up a custom fan curve so that the fan kicks in at a certain temperature level.

79 degrees under gaming load is a reasonable temperature, the 760 normally should be around 81 degrees under load. You should only start worrying once temperatures reach 85 degrees or so.

Blow out the fan on the cooler with a can of compressed air every few months and it should be fine.

For the moment, as long as games aren't crashing on you etc. I wouldn't worry too much.

For reference, my GTX 260 runs at 80+ degrees and it has lasted me 4+ years

Here's what I can suggest. Dust build up in the heat dispensers, To my stupidity my 5770 wasn't cleaned for a while and the fan was always on high and temps in the high 80s. I changed the thermo paste, cleaned the fans but still temps were in the low 80s. What I realised was when I took it apart was that one side of the heat dispensers was clogged in dust, I cleaned that out and my GPU was dead silent and returned to mid 50s.

I'd suggest you'd check the heat dissipators on your card and clean it thoroughly. Also what case are you using and could you take a picture of the inside of your rig? maybe you have bad airflow.

Btw why'd you get the 4GB 760? the 760 doesn't fully utilize the 4GB effeciently, getting the R9 280X or gtx 770 would've been better for the money.

If he's using an aftermarket cooled 760 then that would be a problem, the reference card runs a little warm anyway.

Again, these are temperatures under load, not idle. The 760 is only a few month old, I doubt there'd be that much dust buildup as of now. My friend's 5770 actually lasted him 2 years running at 100c during games haha.

I still got mine 3+ years. still pretty quiet under load and doesn't pass 90c. mine got to 100c once then the computer died on me, was too scared to turn it back on until I thoroughly cleaned it hehe.Im amazed his stayed at 100c constant. Im upgrading to a 280x though :D

Haha it wasn't constant, just under gaming load (Bad Company 2). I haven't cleaned out the shroud of my 260 and its peak temperature has been 86 degrees during BF3.

A DirectCU II card would be a nice change of pace. The DCII 760 runs at about 68 degrees under load (also helped by the fact that it only has a tiny factory overclock).
