my mobo isnt responding when i use my 4gb ddr3 1333mhz ram

my pc doesnt display anything when i plug in my 4gb ddr3 1333mhz ram but when i use my old 2gb ddr3 1066mhz ram its working properly .

Next question is what is your processor? and can you get into the bios on your motherboard and change things or is it locked down? You might have to OC your processor a bit to get it to run at 1333. If not your new stick could be downclocked to 1066 and run fine, if you can change bios settings.

Downclocking the memory is rather easy if you can get into your bios, there should be a part for the memory speed... you want either 1066 mhz, or 533 (you double the number some of the old boards display it that way). If you have a stock cooler OCing a processor is a terrible idea. I would just downclock the memory for the time being and see if that helps it work.
