Keep graphics card performance

Is there any way to keep the performance of a graphics card , if i play GTA 4 at the settings it says 'Affects graphics card performance' . If I format my hard drive and reinstall windows , or is there any way to 'defragment' the graphics card , sorry for these questions i'm a noob xd

dont worry about it then! with this, you can literally have most game at the very min high setting in most game. *correction( it is just msi...

'Affects graphics card performance' just means that setting makes the game harder (or easier if turned down) for the GPU to run. It does not have any affect on the gpu itself, so no, you cant 'defragment' a gpu as there is no need to do so.

But still if I turn it on max settings than it says , 'Affects GPU performance and CPU performance' so there is something what affects the components

so some of the settings make the game harder for the CPU to run as well, like more physics to be calculated and stuff...
If you increase the eye-candy settings it'll increase the work load needed for each frame so the overall fames per second (fps) drops...
You're just misinterpreting what they mean...

this is nothing. just to let you know that that particular setting affect gpu performance=less fps in that game ONLY. what card you have?
