Hello all,

I'm building a new system and i'm looking for some feedback if it's a good build or not.
My previous build has served me well for 6 years (E8500 with a HD4870)

I'm not looking for a killer system. budget is 800 Euro's without tax. (belgian) that's 1080 Dollar or 670 Pounds. i just want a decent build and be able to run games on high settings.(1080p)

CPU : i5 4670 (i'm not going to oc) (this is the only part i'm 100% sure off)
CPU cooler : Hyper 212 Evo
MB : MSI Z87-G45 Gaming
GPU : still doubting!!! between 770GTX windforce or R9 280
PSU : or my 6 years old HIPER type-r series 730W or seasonic G-750W
RAM : Corsair vengeance 9-9-9-24 1.5v 2x4gig
OCZ Vector SSD 128gig (i'm just gaming in this build, storage is on my other work computer)
Case : Fractal design R4 (it's needs to be a silent build en still have room to go sli or crossfire)

My questions are these :
1. good build or room for improvement? (without killing the budget)
2. buy a new psu or re-use the old one?
3. 770 or the R9 280?

Thx to all for the much appreciated feedback,

-If you are not overclocking, pick motherboard with H87 or B85 chipset.
-The intel stock cooler will do its job, since you have locked procesor, you wont have much problems with heating. Hyper 212 is almost unnecessary.
-Samsung 840 Evo or Pro are among the best SSD's on the market today.
-Psu needed for your setup will be in the amount of maximum 500-550w, choose Seasonic, Corsair or XFX with 80+ bronze certificate
-R9 280X and GTX 770 are almost neck to neck in terms of performance, only difference between both cards will be +/- 10fps in different games, and the R9 280X is almost $50 cheaper.

I'm choosing the Z Mobo because someday i will wanna go sli or Crossfire with it. (i forgot to mention this)
That's why i also choose the heavier PSU.
And i figured if i go SLi or crossfire the heat will go up and my cpu will benefit from the better cooler. or won't that matter?

Well if you are planing to SLI/Crossfire, then you can use 750-800w PSU (depending on GPU's), go withe the Corsair, XFX or SeaSonic PSU's

Since you're already set on SLIing/Xfiring in the future, you will need a 850W+ PSU.

And why not just get the 4670k for when you'll need to overclock? If you SLI/Xfire, you -might- come across a bottleneck because of your CPU, and you won't be able to overclock it.

For dual GPUs it is recommended that you have a CPU that can keep up with the two. I'm not saying the 4670 is weak by any means, but if you're planning on slapping on a second GPU, you might bottleneck your system.
