Building a new rig this Christmas, still unsure about the case. I'd like one from around the 120$ mark with good cable management and a simple, but neat exterior design. Any suggestions?

If these are compatible, I would go with This or This. Both are quality cases. If you want to go with a "sleeker" case, This is also an option. Out of all three, I would personally go with the Phantom, but a lot of old school players dislike the look.

all 3 of thrillogy's cases are great i like the antec due to the number of fans included stock. helps if you plan to overclock at all. and as far as spending $50 and upgrading other parts you should not skimp on the case it is more important than people think. cable management and good fans help keep internal temp low saving you the cost of replacing parts due to overheating. you can always upgrade other parts later. that case will last through multiple builds.

Just out of curiosity, are you using pcpartpicker.com ? If not, I would try it out immediately. If you are, go to the system build page, and copy the BBCode, and paste. it makes it a lot easier to choose parts and for us to help you.

By the way, Its not that I don't think you could figure it out yourself, but that's what I had to do, and it took awhile
Just trying to help :)
EDIT- Just remembered an important question; have you already ordered your parts, or, more specifically, the fans? I would get rid of the red LED if you doesn't look good in EVERY case, and it would give off an... "interesting" look if you went with either the Antec, Phantom, Thermaltake, or Carbine.(unless your into purple LEDS :p)
And, when you gave us your specs, you left out the processor. Not that it matters, I'm just curious.

Why AMD over Intel?

Simply because the I5 is superior to the 8350-
I5-3570K VS FX-8350
Also, build is actually cheaper then the AMD one.
Just trying to help you out :D

both are great but it depends on the type of use. its barely marginally better in discrete gpu usage and actually worse in multi-thread processing which most games are. it does kill in single thread but how often with single thread be used? and the i5 costs more. im not a fanboy just pointing out facts. i think both builds are great for gaming though.

The CPU its self is more expensive, but the full setup is actually a bit cheaper then the AMD one-
AMD Setup
Intel Setup
Plus The I5 has superior Overclocking potential, and considering the fact that he went with a liquid CPU cooler, I can almost guarantee that he will at least attempt OCIng. And a overclocked 3570 if far superior to an overclocked 8350.

Intel > AMD IMO. Especially for gaming.

id opt against the fractal just based on looks lol. i dont want a butt ugly cube in my game room when i could have a badass looking case that is just as functional and has similar features for the same price. but thats just me

The Fractal cases are better cases functionally and I personally, think so aesthetically but I don't like gaudy, space ship looking cases.
