If you have an Intel CPU, should you use Nvidia GPUs?

I'm a big fan of the Radeon series; however, this is my first Intel build. Are there any advantages from using a NVIDIA card over a Radeon card on an Intel system?

No, there is no advantage.

It all depends on what model and how much you are spending. I personally would always go Radeon, but thats cause I feel you get more for your money.

Nope, doesn't matter either way, and actually some tests show AMD GPU's play nicer with Intel CPU's than Amd ones.

I thank everyone for there feedback. Every answer is a solution to me. What could I expect from the this system?

Mobo: ASUS Maximus V Gene microATX
CPU: i5-3570K (plan to over clock)
RAM: 8GB of 1600MHz Corsair Vengeance (plan to over clocked)
GPU: SAPPHIRE Radeon HD 7970 3GB GDDR5 (plan on getting another one for crossfire)
SSDs: Corsair Force Series 3 60GB (in RAID 0 for OS)
PSU: Corsair RM850

I want to play demanding games like Skyrim, BF4, Crysis 3, Call of Duty Ghosts and some others. So what kind of perform should I get in those games with the system above. I also I have a Corsair H60 for cooling. Should I het the Corsair H100i instead? If anyone feels like I should change something in my system, please let me know.

Thanks. Should I be worried about a bottleneck with two 3GB 7970s crossfire with the i5? Is the H60 a good enough cooler to reach a speed of 4.0GHz?

To add to everyone's answer, think of the graphics as it's own computer and the processor as it's own. They both do their own job.

And to answer your second question the even the stock cooler is enough to overclock to 4.0ghz. The h60 is sufficient for a 4.5-4.7 ghz oc. And no the i5 won't bottleneck the 7970 even in cf
