I made the mistake of using the old modular cables when swapping out my PSU for a new one. I smelled some smoke and imidiatly knew something was wrong so I swapped it out for the cables that came with my new PSU. Everything runs good now but I'm worried I may have shorten the life of my parts. Is there a way to test it? I know the motherboard is okay. I'm worried about my fans, psu, and h80i cooler. Those were the only things connected with the old cables.

I'm mostly worried about my case fans. Since they are very unique to the case that I have so it won't be possible to replace them without replacing the whole case. So how likely is it that they will have problems?

Could it have been my hard drive? That's the only thing that's not working. My 1tb WD black hard drive that I use for storage isent showing up. Also my h80i takes awhile to light up when I start the computer. But is still cooling great. That's the only things I can find. So could it have been my hard drive?
