I have this problem that whenever my pc gets idle(one minute without moving the mouse or the hitting a key) the gpu and cpu start going crazy and hit really high temperatures and if a game is running(I play with a controller so it doesn't invoke the idle status) it stutters and lags like crazy until I move the mouse. Any help would be appreciated, I already asked the question here and nobody replied with a solution to this. I've also found a person here with the same problem unresolved. Hope someone helps. Thanks!

CPU: i5 4670k
GPU: GTX 760 gigabyte windforce OC
RAM: 8gb
PSU: 550W bronze If I remember right.

By idle I mean after 1 minute of not touching the mouse or keyboard. What's really weird is that this NEVER happens when the task manager is on, which makes me suspicious of the chances of this being a bitcoin mining virus. I really haven't tried updating my bios, and I have no idea how to do so. I'll try re-installing them now. Hope things go well.

Hm that is weird indeed. If nothing works Just backup your data and reinstall your copy of windows again with a clean install. that whipes out 95% of the virusses.

Yes, you have probably been infected. Download HijackThis and provide a log?

I used malwarebytes, it deleted some worms and trojans, and seems everything is working now. Ill give more feedback if I run into this problem again. Thanks for the help.

Do you have an anti-virus...?
I recommend Microsoft Security Essentials
