Hi, I am planning to soon upgrade my current FX-8120 to an AMD of a higher series. I think I'll go for either a FX-8350 or a FX-9370. I know that a FX-9370 consumes more power and produces more heat, the strange thing however is that I can aquire the FX-9370 at a cheaper price than the FX-8350 at my location.

I also want a good cooler for my CPU and currently my choice goes out toward the Scythe Ninja 3 Rev.B, the problem with this cooler however is that I am not sure if it can handle the heat of a FX-9370, so I was looking for a water cooler and came across the Cooler Master Seidon 120XL, I don't know if that water cooler can handle the heat but the site where I found this cooler said that this cooler was designed for the fx 9000 series, I am still skeptic about it and that's why I am asking here.

Here are my current pc specs by the way:
Mobo: Asus Sabertooth 990FX
CPU: FX-8120
GPU: Gigabyte GTX 770 4GB
RAM: Corsair Vengeance 2x 4GB
PSU: Corsair CXM 750 Watt

So should I buy a FX-8350 or an FX-9370? And with which cooler? Is my PSU able to handle the FX-9370?

Thanks in advance.

ok. if you can get a 9370 for cheaper then a 8350 go for it. your motherboard will handle both just fine. your psu will handle it just fine; grab yourself a h80i to cool the cpu.

just so you know... the 9370 is the SAME cpu as the 8350/8320... it's just set to a base clock of 4.4ghz. So you know... most 8 core piledriver cpus can reach 4.0-4.4 clock speeds on base vcore... so if you want to save a little cash you can get a 8320 and just overclock it a little.
Wouldn't recommend a 9370, just an overclocked overpriced 8350. And the 8350 is basically an overclocked 8320.

As for the CPU cooler I'd go with a Noctua NHD14 if your budget reaches that. If not, the Hyper 212 EVO is probably the best for less. Or you could look at the AiO liquid coolers, I don't know too much about them.

The PSU should be absolutely fine. I would go with the 8320/8350 in your position.

Just saw that you can get the 9370 for cheaper. That's alright then, just check that your mobo supports it (in the CPU support list).
