Hey guys I finished building a gaming PC, but it will not boot.

Specs are:
Core i7-4770K
Powercolor R9 280X
16GB kingston HyperX 1600MHZ
Asus Maximus VI Hero
Corsair H100i
Corsair 500R
SeaSonic M12II 750W Semi-modular
128GB Plextor M5S SSD
Some Lite-On DVD reader
Unknown DVD writer (Reused from previous PC)

Nothing turns on expect for the motherboards "start" and "reset" LED. I am not sure what is the problem right now. PSU is fine since my bro used it before me for a short while. A guy recommend me check all power cable, and they all fit like a charm. The main suspect is the motherboard, but thats what I think. What's you're take on it guys?

Yes sir! the BIOS flashback, happened to me and my board, the I/O shield was ever so slightly pressing on it and I thought the case was broken or the motherboard was broken because it wouldnt boot but it was just that every time I hit power the BIOS would be flashed and then just flash flash flash

He he right now I am overseas can't check now. But when I tried to press the power button (on my case and the motherboard) nothing turns on. So was yours able to turn on but not work properly after that or was it completely dead in the water?

Mine is completely dead. Pressing the power button results in nothing turning on. Note even my fans spin up. Any suggestions for me?

The only thing I can think of is to take everything out and put it back together outside of the case and see if the motherboard posts and if not then either your motherboard or PSU is broken.
just do the basics out of the case to see if the motheboard posts and if not then somethings broken

Did that (except used my old HD 4670) and found it was the RAM. So now everything was working, then when I tried to turn it on using my R9 280X, it would turn on momentarily then turn off. I mean like for a spilt second it would start up, fans and everything, then just switch off. Using my old graphics card did not cause this problem. What do you think is the problem now?
