Insanely bad fps drops/lagg on "good" laptop

So I bought myself a 'Dell Inspiron 7720' with i7 processor what whatnot a few month ago.
It costed me little above 700Euro, and I expected to be able to run kind of heavy software on it, and also be able to play games on decent graphics.
However, this is not the case.

I am at the point where I want to throw it into a wall. I'm trying to play a game called World of Warcraft, an MMORPG which doesn't have that big requirements. However, I am between 25 fps and 2 fps whereever I am in the game, and I keep dropping FPS regardless if I play in Ultra, High, Normal, Fair or Low graphics settings. I can even hear the spotify music "crackling" due to the PC lag when I move my camera in the game (I hope you understand what I mean, I can't explain it any better than that). I check Taskmanager and Disk usage is about 5%, Memory usage about 60%. I see no issues there.

However, my Disk usage can without any problem randomly hit 100% and stay there for a good moment without me even having any software of my own running (only system applications taking up all the space).

---------------------------------------------------

I have no idea what's causing it. I remember I was able to play games on High somewhat without any fps issues when I got it originally, but it's beyond crap.
There is no dust in the fan, I've checked it. I'm having the laptop on the table, so air can pass through easily (or whatever you now say).

I don't know what kind of information I would need to give you all to help me with my pathetic computer issue.. But just let me know what else I should post and I'll do it right away!

I've heard something about disabling the internal graphic card and instead use the NVIDIA GeForce (in my case). I have no idea if it's already set to that or not (I'm not very computer-savvy when it comes to what's inside the computer). However, I did go into the NVIDIA control panel and changed it to : 3D Settings -> Global Settings -> Preffered graphics processor: High-preformed NVIDIA processor.

This didn't help anything at all. I'm even thinking it might've made it lagg more.. I can't really tell anymore.

Thanks in advance
Ezzy

Edit:

Q: Have you made sure drivers are up to date?
A: Yes

I am not sure if it's the program, or somehow your CPU fan got disabled. However, you said that the temps don't go over those you posted at first, so I don't think that they should be a problem for lagging. Laptops can manage 90c, although it shortens their life.

So your expectation were sort of met. When did the lagging start to occur? Must be a software issue.

Also try running DPClat, check for latency spikes.

PS : what's with the temps? Are those the current temperatures of CPU, GPU etc.?

As in that my graphic card is shit, or:

If it's the graphic card that isn't pulling its' weight I'll go and ask for a refund for this laptop straight away. Not paying 700euros for something that doesn't even remotely suits my need,

If I can run the game in High without any issues, then yes, my expectations are more than met!

Running DPClat right now,
Current Latency: 1000-ish µs
Absolute Maximum: 2100 µs

At the moment the game is running smoothly at 40-50fps because I'm trying to make it lagg. Then obviously it won't lagg out.

Also, regarding temp. I just downloaded the program to see my specs, but yes. Those are the current temps. Is it too high? I know I had major issues with my Desktop computer, and it turned out that my CPU fan was broken/not working correctly. However, I hear the fan spinning in my laptop, I can also see it. Can I somehow do a more proper check to see if my fans are working correctly more than just trying to see with my eyes?

The temps doesn't go above that, rather it goes down a bit when the computer is in idle. Temps were measured when game was running.

I have it set to default. I don't know if I should do anything else like actually disabling the integrated graphics someway, or just leave it be. Either way I have it set to use NVIDIA Card by default.

According to the GPU temp and the green bar(GPU load?) next to it, you are using the NVIDIA

I can't actually see any information regarding the fans. Not sure if I have to configure that somehow or not. I ran it as admin of course. Do I need to tick some checkboxes or how do I magic this to work?

I can't see my CPU fan like on your screenshot. Infact, I don't see it at all..

Well, there might be a problem with my fan then.
I'll check around. Thanks.
