I am looking to potentially upgrade my graphics card from an AMD 7570 card. I want to be able to run games like COD: Ghosts and Battlefield 4 on normal settings (not looking for super great graphics).

Here is my PC specs: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?cc=us&lc=en&docname=c03639067#N174

What are my options? I realize i may need to upgrade other componants other than my graphics card, Im looking to work in the $500 range for the full upgrade.

Thanks.

Without doing a power supply swap the hd-7850 or R270 would be good. That should be under $180. Look for one that includes a molex to pcie power cable if your power supply lacks a pcie power connector. It's about 150 watts so it should run on the hp oem power supply. Add case fans to any empty fan spots on your case.

$500 is more card than your fx6200 can handle. Since you can't overclock the cpu with the oem board and your os system is tied to your board, doing a board swap is not a option.

A corsair, antec or ocz 500 watt or larger power supply, and putting case fans in any fan spots that lack a fan would let you go above a hd-7850 or R270.
But the FX6200 is not fast enough for a card above the R270 so this is a waste of cash.

I am running a Asus 1gb hd-7850@1050mhz gpu core, AMD A6-3650@3.5ghz.
It is my gaming/htpc with a 46" 1080p lcdtv so i wanted a cool running card.
I replaced my pair of hd-4870's. Hd-4870's are about the worst choice for a htpc card. Together they use about 360watts under gaming loads and the fan gets noisy when playing games. The hd-7850 is nice and quiet and runs cool, even when overclocked.

Most games run really well on my setup. The graphics look great and many games are set to high or maxed out settings. Dirt2 maxed out gets over 60fps, cod black ops ran on the hd-7850 with higher settings at about 50fps. MafiaII about 55fps almost maxed out settings. So far every game has ran really well on it.

Thanks for the suggestion. Do you have a specific one you think would be best for me? Cause when i just search HD-7850 there are like 5-6 different ones with all different prices. Like there is the AMD, theres an MSI, a Saphire, etc...

Im new to the whole computer gaming thing so I apologize if I am asking for alot of help I should be able to do on my own.

The hd-7850 is a bit slower than the R270. The hd-7850 might be cheap because they are on sale now because the R270 is the new replacement. The faster Hd-7870 is ok too.

I seen hd-7850's on sale as cheap as $145. I bought a "refurbished" hd-7850. Yes that means it's a used card and the game coupons are missing. Mine was $87 with tax but was missing the cables, disk and amd game coupons for 2 games.

The 2 games alone are worth $20 each if you lack games or are planning on buying games on steam look for a card that bundles some games you want.

THE NEWER R270 to R290X NO LONGER COMES WITH THE GAME COUPONS.

My asus hd-7850 is pretty good, most are brands are pretty good with the low wattage hd-7850's. The hd-7870 and R270x use 2 pcie power connectors and need more power and will need a power supply upgrade. The hd-7850 has less shaders and is a bit slower than the R270 but that also means it uses 130 watts instead of 150.
150 watts is sort of pushing your luck with your oem power supply, it should work but there is a chance you will need a real gaming power supply.

1. Make sure you pick one with a included molex to pcie adaptor cable.
(You can buy one, they are about $10)
2. Try and get one with some games bundled.
3. Two fans is better than one, some cards have 2 fans. Mine has one fan and still runs cool.
4. Look at the factory clock. Some hd-7850's are "cherry picked" and have higher factory overclocks.
5. Look for one on sale.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127663
$139.99 Hd-7850, 2 fans, 900mhz factory clock. $109.99 after $30.00 rebate card (don't count on it i got some mail in rebates, others they scammed me and never sent me my rebate.)
iT'S A 2gb card.
-It looks like the gaming bundles are ending. No gaming bundle.
-Two molex to pcie cables. (do check and see how many free molex connectors you have. TWO CABLES MEANS YOU NEED 4 MOLEX CONNECTORS)

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814125451
$139.99 GIGABYTE GV-R785OC-1GD Radeon HD 7850 1GB
- One molex to pcie cable means you need 2 free molex connectors.
-1gb memory means it uses a bit less power, but is slightly slower because it has less memory. (this is not so important 1gb is enough for this card)
-No "mail in and pray rebate" is actually a good thing, it's not really worth messing with those rebates anyway.
-No gaming bundle again.

Maybe a local store has one that still has the gaming bundle? It's better to pay a extra $20 and buy it locally in case you have issues or get a bad card.
