Battlefield 4 Frame Rate Drops/Hangs

I'm having some problems with BF4, ever since the beta I've been getting these frame rate drops, it's pretty much a drop down to 0 FPS for a split second (the FPS on BF4 will read at about 30 something when this occurs).

It doesn't happen in any other games and it doesn't relate to anything happening on screen. If I'm playing music the audio will hang as well but I'm not sure if the game audio is doing the same thing.

It happens regardless of what settings I'm running, albeit it is more frequent on ultra.

I've got the latest NVidia Drivers etc and I haven't seen anything else having a spike in processor use or anything like that. None of the temperatures are over 60 degrees.

Everything else is fine, even when playing BF4; when it's not dropping its running around 70fps or even higher.

Also none of this is overclocked by me or anything like that just the natural stuff with the GPU and CPU.

Specs:
GeForce GTX 770 4GB
Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-4770K CPU @ 3.50GHz (8 CPUs)
Gigabyte Z87X-UD3H Motherboard
8192MB DDR3 RAM 1600MHz
Seasonic 750W M12II Bronze Series
Samsung 840 Series Pro 128GB 2.5
Seagate Barracuda 1TB SATA HDD (ST1000DM003)
Noctua NH-U12S
Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit

I'm a bit stuck and just want to fix this problem, any suggestions would be great, thanks in advance. I can provide more information if needed.

Does this happen only on MP, or SP too?

They are lag spikes I thi k they call them and I get them too. The game does run however a shit ton better on windows 8 for me at least. I believe its a game issue though.

Regardless of settings even in SP? It's fact that the game is not optimized well for MP(players, levolution and stuff), but you shouldn't have problems on SP.

Yeah, even in SP. I've got it running at the moment on low settings to test it and I even get the visual spikes there. Although it runs at about 150+ fps when it drops it goes to about 50. For a split second it's still 0 though.

Once they optimise the game a little more for windows 7 and in general it shoukd get better. Like I said after I went to win8 pro my frame rate went up and I dont spike as often.

Not everyone else on Windows 7 though has this problem though?

When toms did their benchmark they showed spikes in the benchmarks also. I've come across alot of people getting the same thing.

Okay, fair enough, just wait it out then? That's what I was hoping and that it's nothing at my end. However, looking at the list of the BF4 team's issues, the fps lag spikes doesn't even appear to be on their radar.

May not be a big enough issue for them. Also check and make sure all your drivers are up too date and do a stress test on the card with heaven or something. If its only doing that on bf4 then there is your answer. I know I've come across several people getting same problems. Try running with vsync on too and see if that helps.

I've found that turning hyperthreading off completely resolves the issue. I don't suppose anyone has a technical explanation for that? I'd just be interested to know.

Bottleneck somewhere?
