780TI vs 290X @ 1440p/1600p

So I'm torn between these two cards. The 780TI seems to get better results, but the 290x has more VRAM and a better bitrate. I'm worried that might come into play somewhere down the line.

Can anyone help me decide?

The 780ti is barely 10% better most of the time and $200 more? GK110 has gone as far as its going to go with driver, Hawaii is new and has headroom.

Of course Mantle is suppose to make it shine.

I would just go with the 290 tbh is cheap and spanks the 780 and non-reference models should be here in a few weeks.

as of right now the 780ti is the fastest SINGLE GPu you can buy. Period. the 290x may perform better when non reference designs are released as it could clock higher but as of right now the 780ti is the winner. However, if money is no object get the 780ti but if it does kind of matter id wait for non reference 290x cards to show up and see how well they perform as they will be less money and could perform close to the 780ti.
