System Weak points?

I am in the process of upgrading my system to handle some of the newer games that are coming out, enough so that i can run 1080 with average settings(not anything amazing). My question or rather, request; can someone point out the weak points in my build and recommend some new hardware for an upgrade. My build is about a year and a half old.

CPU: AMD Phenom X4 965 OC @4.4Ghz - Temps between 40 and 50 under heavy load
MOBO: ASUS M5A97 R2.0 (AM3+)
PSU: old Rosewill 550W (upgrading no matter what)
RAM: 4x2gb G.Skill 1600 (slight oc at 1723Mhz) /w a Kingston Hyper X cooling them, never hit above 30
GPU: Gigabyte GTX 650 Ti Boost (OC @ 1150Mhz) - Temps between 50 and 55 under load

Everything else (HDD's, Heatsink, misc. fans) is running fine and wont be needing an upgrade, although i might get an H90 to replace my Hyper 212 Evo if i upgrade the CPU. I also don't remember the case, but its an old ASUS with great airflow and plenty of room for a 12+ inch card.

Could anyone also recommend a cpu water cooler if the H90 isn't good?

Thanks!

Do you have room for a single 140mm, or just 120mm radiator? Ideally, you'd have room for 2 x 120mm, or even better 2 x 140mm radiators.

For the first, I'd get the Kraken x40, for the second the Corsair h80i. If you have the Cpu overclocked that high, I wouldn't bother upgrading it. It's already fast enough to run any single card out right now, and you won't see much of an upgrade even with an I5 overclocked fairly well.

The Gpu is definitely the slow point though, so I'd look at your budget and buy the best card within that budget. Btw, what is your budget?

I looked into it and decided on the H80i because i dont have room for a 140mm.

I wasnt really looking to spend more than $400 on a video card, and am between:

GTX 770-http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130921

R9 280X-http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814121803

I am upgrading to an 750W psu so i wont have any problems running them, even overclocked. If you could recommend a card too that would be great as i think these cards are a little overkill, but I need a card that could last me another 2-3 years.

Thanks for the reply, i really appreciate it!
